Our Global ISO/IEC 17025/17065 Electronics Test & Measurement Lab headquartered in Arizona is looking for New Business Development Professional– Hi-Tech. This new team member must have at least (5) years of experience selling to senior engineers in mid-market technology manufacturers. Candidates networked in this field is highly desired. You are a proven “hunter” able to open new accounts with engineers within mid-market tech manufacturers. In this autonomous role, you have mastered the art of opening doors with a blend of outbound calls, emails, onsite visits, and conferences to win business.

Targeted prospects are performing about $75,000/year in regulatory testing (mandatory testing prior to selling in all countries). Winning 2-3 Customers per month. Annual new sales generated is expected between $1-2 mm/yr. You can open doors through direct connections and trade shows – are able to utilize all selling technologies available (i.e. direct calling, emails, SMS, LinkedIn messages etc.). Must be tech-savvy & understand the electronics industry. Our clients are Mid-Market Emerging Tech Manufacturers - $20mm-$1bb/yr.

This opportunity includes, but is not limited to, selling 5G, IoT, Telecom, LORA, Medical Wireless, Backhaul, Sensors, MedTech, Industrial Equip, Sat Comm, wifi. This salesperson can under-promise & over-deliver while taking it upon themselves to ensure our clients have an impactful first impression doing business with us.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical testing sales to engineers. TIC / Regulatory Testing industry experience a plus.
  • Experience collecting technical documentation for our engineers to generate work and estimates.
  • Enjoy and excel at making calls to new accounts, opening new accounts and closing new sales; a driver to open and win new opportunities.
  • Work with your Client Success Manager to support the clients once onboarded with all the minutia associated with the project and future inquiries.
  • We are using ZoomInfo – a top lead generation software.
  • Must be organized, disciplined, self-sufficient, focused and have a proven ability to open new business.
  • Excellent time management skills opening discussions with decision makers and prospecting skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with our Engineers

  • Ability to present value and open new relationships with industry & community groups; hustling to open and win new opportunities.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiar with ERP or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Software
  • Ability to quickly & easily present value to decision-makers; excellent listener and communicator (written and verbal).

Skills/Assets

Bachelor’s degree/equivalent transferable skills/demonstrated possible prior experience in organizations such as: MetLab, Bay Area Compliance, Elite Electrical Engineering, CES, Intertek, TUV, Northwest EMC, UL, Met Lab, Cetecom, Bureau Veritas.

Compensation

  • $65,000 - $150,000 per year expected compensation
  • Market-competitive base salary plus incentives projecting approximately $100,000+
  • We are looking to establish win-win commission models (no cap) in which the sales team member is responsible for growth, but they are well rewarded for winning new business procured by their efforts.
  • We want to cut large commission checks because that means the organization is growing! We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
  • The testing service for any electronics product sold is both required and mandatory by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Europe. It is a recurring business model. Once sold, commissions will continue for a number of years without efforts from the New Business Development, like an annuity.
  • On-site is preferred but remote/hybrid is possible, if proven (HQ in Arizona).
